Different Types of Numerology
There are actually different forms of numerology. There are three major types of numerology. They are Kabbalah numerology, Chaldean numerology and Pythagorean numerology.
Kababalah Numerology or Hebrew Numerology
Kabbalah numerology is sometimes referred to as Hebrew numerology. The Kabbalah is based on the idea that knowledge comes through the mind and the soul instead of the flesh. This idea originated through Hebrew mysticism. Originally, the Kabbalah was developed for the purpose of the Hebrew alphabet. There are 22 vibrations that range from 1 to 400.
The original idea was actually developed from the Greek alphabet and was later adapted for the Roman alphabet. Recently, the New Kabbalah has been developed specifically for use with the modern Roman alphabet. The New Kabbalah is based on the name as well and also utilizes Pythagorean methods in order to establish time periods. Unlike the original Kabbalah, the New Kabbalah is more focused upon events than with character.
Chaldean Numerology
Chaldean numerology was originally established in ancient Babylon, which is now Iraq, and makes use of Kabbalistic name interpretation along with some aspects of astrology. The number nine is considered to be holy in Chaldean numerology. As a result, this number is kept apart from other vibrations, with the exception of when it results as a sum of vibrations; for example, with the name of an individual.
It should also be noted that within Chaldean numerology, compound numbers are always used. Single numbers represent the exterior aspects of an individual. Double numbers reveal the inner influences of an individual.
Pythagorean Numerology
The Pythagorean numerology method was developed by Pythagoras, who was a Greek metaphysician and mathematician who lived in the 6th century BC. Pythagoras was well known for his idea that the square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides of the triangle.
Pythagoras was also interested in spiritual development and metaphysics; which ultimately resulted in him combining his interest in math along with his interest in spiritual development. The Pythagorean method of numerology is similar to Chaldean numerology in that both methods analyze the name as well as the date of birth in addition to the interaction between the name and date of birth. The basic vibrations for this form of numerology are the numbers 1-9. The master vibrations are 11 and 22.
