3I/ATLAS (formal designation C/2025 N1 (ATLAS)) is the third confirmed interstellar object ever spotted in our skies and the first of its kind to show classic, active comet behavior as it passes the Sun.  3I/ATLAS isn’t a threat, likely faint in small scopes, scientifically priceless, and catnip for anomaly hunters.
