The LifePath Number
The LifePath Number is calculated by assigning a number value to the birthdate of an individual. The date must be written out in long form using all of the digits, such as 07/09/1970.
This number is one of the most commonly requested readings in numerology because it is the fastest and the easiest to perform. This number describes an individual's journey through life and what that person can hope to accomplish in life. While this is one of the most popular readings, it does not comprise a full reading. Actually, even a reading that takes into account all of the four core elements does not entail a full reading, as it does not incorporate special numerology challenges that can be used in order to change what might otherwise be the fate of that person.
The LifePath Number is a sum of the entire birth date and represents who that person was when they were born along with the extent of their potential and limitations in terms of emotions, spirituality and physical abilities.
It is widely recognized in numerology, for example, that someone with the number three may be born with tremendous abilities and talents, but will likely experience difficulties in maintaining relationships due to the fact that they focus so much attention on their career. This is not to say that someone with a number of three could not find true love, because it would be possible for that person to learn to overcome their limitations.
The Expression Number
The Expression Number is taken from all of the numbers of the full birth name. It should be noted that this is not a person's married name or their nickname. This must be the name that the person was born with, including all of the middle names.
The Expression Number refers to the talents that a person will experience throughout their lifetime. This is the number that is basically the ideal version of that person that could potentially develop if the right choices are made.
This number can be daunting to some people because they may feel as though these are ideals that they cannot attain during their lifetime. They may often experience disappointment because they have not attained those ideals. The benefit of this number is that it can reveal an individual's potential to them and show them what would be possible for them to attain. It is believed in numerology that without being able to fulfill the ideals of the Expression Number, a person may feel depressed or unfulfilled, regardless of how much success they may have attained in life.
The Soul Urge Number
The Soul Urge Number is attained using the vowels of the full birth name. This number describes the values and ethics of who an individual truly is. This is the most spiritual reading that can be performed. It can often be quite revealing because it shows the inner desires of a person.
The Karmic Number
The Karmic Number is derived using the reduction of the consonants of the full name. This number refers to the hopes and fantasies of a person as well as their secret fears. This number can also be used to reveal how others may view a person the first time they meet them.
According to numerology, everything that exists within the universe vibrates at a specific frequency. When you are able to identify the vibration rate of a particular object, you will be able to establish the energies and the qualities that are associated with that object. Basic Numerology Calculations
There is a basic mathematical operation that is utilized in numerology. The numbers are reduced using simple addition. For example, let's consider the number 14. If you add 1 + 4 then you get 5. Along the same lines, if you took the number 1984 and add 1 + 9 + 8 + 4 then you would get 23. 23 can then be further reduced to 5 by adding 2 + 3.
In the practice of numerology, all numbers can be reduced to the single numbers 1 through 9 with the exception of 11 and 22 because they are the major vibration rates.
The letters in a person's name can be converted to numbers and then may be added together. These numbers can then be consequently reduced. When you apply these simple mathematical formulas to the numbers that are representative of an individual's name as well as their birth date then it is possible to establish four major core elements as well as more than a couple of dozen modifiers.
